Skincare Products That Are Great For Combination Skin And My Skincare Empties

My Favorite Skincare Products + Empties2.png

Can’t be a beauty queen with a slack skincare routine! I’ve shared with you that I struggle with combination skin before. I have a dry spot on my cheek; it popped up when I was pregnant, and I have been struggling with it going away since. Those of you who have been pregnant before can understand how multiple things can change while pregnant; one of those is our skin. If you haven’t been pregnant before, I bet you can still relate because as you get older, your skin can change as well.

A little bit more about my skin, I also have an oily t-zone, so It’s hard to find skincare products that cater to both. A lot of the time, oil-free facial cleansers irritate my dry spots, whereas they’re perfect for my t-zone area. Having combination skin sucks because my t-zone area is where I get the majority of my breakouts, I rarely break out on my cheeks. So with that said, I want to share with you some excellent skincare products that’s been helping clear up my skin and solve my dry spot issues.

Bioré Products

I want to start by sharing some Bioré products. One day, I tried Bioré’s Deep Cleansing Charcoal Pore Strips that were sent to me, if you watch my Instastory then you remember seeing how I loved that it sucked out all the nastiness!! Since I loved that product, I decided to try out their new Blue Agave + Baking Soda Whipped Nourishing Detox Mask & Balancing Pore Cleanser products for combination skin!

The first product I tried from the line is the Bioré Blue Agave & Baking Soda Balancing Pore Cleanser. Blue Agave is supposed to help soothe irritated skin by hydrating and nourishing it. Whereas the baking soda helps clean your pores as well as remove dead skin! Hence, the ingredients are an excellent mix for combination skin. The Balancing Pore Cleanser left my skin feeling super clean! When washing your face, you only need to use a little bit because the cleanser is very creamy. It also works into a nice foamy lather. It has a few jojoba beads that give you a gentle exfoliation. The fragrance is fresh and clean, and the smell isn’t overpowering. I like this product because it didn’t dry out my skin, and it left it feeling smooth!

I followed up with the Blue Agave & Baking Soda Whipped Nourishing Detox Mask. This product is swoon-worthy. I loved it so much; it’s officially an empty!! You probably have seen me wearing this mask plenty of times in my Instastory before. The first time I used these products, I was a little worried because it left my dry spot a little red. However, after some time, my skin got used to it!! I tend to use the mask in the morning since It has a cooling effect which wakes up the skin! It feels like your pores are refresh, and you have washed all your sorrows down the drain. The texture of the mask is something I’ve never seen before; it has a creamy whipped texture. I love that it doesn’t harden on your face either, which means you can quickly rinse it off with little trouble! Your face will feel even softer after using the mask since its nourishing! Before using the product, please do a patch test because this product is not suitable for sensitive skin types. Also, while using the product, you should apply to wet skin and rinse off after 3-5 minutes. Bioré products are not cruelty-free or vegan.

Skinfix Products

The next products I want to share with you are Skinfix products! These products were gifted to me over time, which means I didn’t need to share them. However, I’m sharing them because I genuinely love them. I’m delighted that they sent me these products because I don’t think I would’ve discovered them on my own. I love these products because i believe they are the reason I have rarely been having an issue with my dry spots lately. These products are very gentle for anyone to use; I started with their travel kit. Which includes the following:

  • Barrier+ Foaming Oil Cleanser: Effective makeup removal, dehydration, for normal to dry & sensitive skin.

  • Barrier + Lipid-Peptide Lotion: Dehydration, lightweight moisture, for all skin types & sensitive skin.

  • Barrier + Lip Repair Balm: Dry, chapped, cracked lips, for all skin types & sensitive skin.

  • Redness Recovery+ Antioxidant Redness Treatment: Suitable for all skin types & dry, sensitive, red.

  • Remedy+ 911 Ointment: For all skin types & dry, cracked, and irritated skin.

  • Eczema+ Hand Repair Cream: Eczema, dermatitis, dryness, itchy & irritated skin, all skin types, & sensitive skin.

Two more products that I use that are not in the travel kit are the Triple Lipid-Peptide Lotion, which helps restore the skin’s natural lipids and fatty acids, which gives healthy, glowing smooth skin. Last but not least, the Dark Spot Corrector which it’s purpose is in the name, it helps minimize dark spots, brighten skin and improve uneven skin tone. I believe these products are the reason my skin improved when it comes to dark spots, smoothness, and overall hydration.

These products are free from so many nasty ingredients, like steroids, antibiotics, fragrance, parabens, formaldehyde, phthalates, silicones, lanolin, propylene glycol, PEGs, gluten, and much more. All the products are vegan and cruelty-free, which is a plus since I’m trying to make the transition to only using vegan and cruelty-free beauty products. I will be honest, these products aren’t cheap, but you get what you pay for, right? Even though the Skinfix products were gifted to me by the company, I do plan on buying them, especially since all the products are now empty except for the Dark Spot Corrector!

Yes To & Mario Badescu Products

The last group of skincare products I want to share is from Yes To and Mario Badescu! I will start with Yes To. I’ve always used Yes To products; they’re cheap and gentle on the skin. I usually buy their fantastic dollar masks. Still, sometimes I switch to a face mask that costs a little more like their Yes To Tomatoes Detoxifying & Hydrating White Charcoal Mud Mask, which is excellent for spot masking on breakouts! I love their Yes To Cucumbers Calming 2-in-1 Scrub & Cleanser Stick; it’s a gentle cleanser that has exfoliation beads, I’ve been using it as my daily cleanser now that my Skinfix face soap is empty. You can roll the product on your skin or apply it on your hands first then rub it on your face. I also use the Yes To Cucumbers Cooling Under-Eye De-Puffer which I use every morning and night, it cools and moisturizes my under-eye area, which helps reduce dark circles, redness, and puffiness. Yes To products do have vegan products, but not all are vegan, however, they are cruelty-free, and all of their products are at least 95% natural.

The products that I want to share with you last but not least are the Mario Badescu Rose Lip and Mist Duo. I randomly bought these on Ulta a few months ago because I had a gift card, and I’m so glad I did!! These products are the best; I love the Rosewater Facial Spray because it’s great to use to refresh and add moisture to your skin. It’s also great if you want a dewy makeup look. I use it any time of the day. The Rose Lip Balm is probably one of the best lip products ever; I’m never going back to regular chapstick. It has a thick and smooth consistency, so it’s tough to have cracked lips if you use the product daily. Mario Badescu products are cruelty-free.

I finally found the right products that I can use on my combination skin! If you’re looking for a super deep cleansing product, then definitely try out the Bioré products. If you’re looking for products that are gentle and great for all skin types, then I recommend trying products from Yes To; or Mario Badescu and Skinfix if you have the financial room to splurge!
